Here are the best places in Dubai to watch the Eid Al Adha fireworks
Get ready to watch the night sky light up…
Eid Al Adha is only a few weeks away, and while we still don’t know exactly when the holiday will fall (that all depends on the sighting of the moon the night before) what we do know is that there will definitely be some brilliant fireworks displays lighting up the night sky.
Many of Dubai’s popular waterfronts are going all out this year to celebrate with three days of fireworks to mark the occasion from Tuesday, August 21 to Friday, August 24.
We’ve rounded up the best spots in the city where you can watch the sky explode in a cavalcade of colour and sound this Eid Al Adha…
The Beach, JBR
Timings: August 22 – 24, 9.15pm
What to expect: JBR is always a bustling hub of activity around the Eid holidays, and with three nights of fireworks planned you can expect The Beach to be packed. Make sure you head down early enough to grab a good spot at one of the many restaurants and cafes littered along the waterfront.
La Mer, Jumeirah
Timings: August 22 – 24, 9.30pm
What to expect: The new, uber-chic waterfront district of La Mer will have plenty of excellent spots to catch the nightly fireworks displays. Many of the restaurants located there are also licensed so that means you can kick back and enjoy a tipple while watching the show.
Al Seef, Bur Dubai
Timings: August 22 – 24, 9pm
What to expect: Dubai Creek is a pretty spectacular site on any normal day, but when its lit up by a string of brilliant fireworks it’s made even more special. The new 1.8km promenade of Al Seef in Bur Dubai is a great choice to catch the Eid Al Adha festivities for those living in the older part of town.
Dubai Festival City Mall, Festival City
Timings: August 22 – 23, 9pm & 10.30pm
What to expect: Festival City will only be holding its fireworks display over two days, but it will be doubling up with two shows per night. There will also be live entertainment taking place to coincide with the fireworks so expect plenty of fun activities to keep families and children entertained throughout the Eid weekend.
