This Dubai 'hood is switching to paid parking to ease congestion
No more free parking for visitors to the Al Khail Gate Community…
Motorists looking to park at the Al Khail Gate Community in Al Quoz will soon need to pay upwards of Dhs32 a day in order to park their vehicle there.
In an official statement, an RTA spokesperson noted that from the second quarter of 2018, parking within the Al Khail Gate Community will be split into different zones, with spots clearly marked for both residents and visitors.
Parking fees will be set at Dhs4 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of Dhs32 for a 24 hour period. Seasonal parking permits will also be available to residents that will allow them to park anywhere in the community, and start at Dhs1,000 for three months, Dhs1,500 for six months, and Dhs2,500 for a full year.

The move comes after the RTA announced that it will be taking over management of parking in the neighbourhood to help ease congestion, after receiving complaints from residents.
Al Khail Gate is located just off the Al Khail Rd off ramp into Dubai’s Al Quoz district. This has led to motorists who work in nearby Al Quoz Industrial Area 2 to take advantage of the residential community’s free parking, making it difficult for people who live there to find parking.
