How did we miss this?!

Dubai is home to many a great burger chain – Shake Shack, Burger Fuel, Five Guys, the list goes on. But as any consummate burger aficionado will tell you, there is one joint that has eluded our great city for far too long, the holy grail of grilled meat itself, In-N-Out Burger.

Well, it appears that today, In-N-Out Burger took its first international trip with the appearance of a super limited pop up store at Ibn Battuta Mall.

The mall announced earlier today via their Instagram account that from 10.30am until 2.30pm, customers could come down and sample the restaurant’s menu including the famous “Double Double” (two hamburger patties and two slices of cheese) until stocks ran out.

The Californian chain is known for its simple menu – they only serve 3 kinds of burgers plus fries and drinks – which customers travel far and wide to sample, as well as a secret menu that, while not listed, can be ordered simply by asking for it at the counter. This secret menu includes “Protein Style” burgers (which are the same but with lettuce rather than buns) and “Animal Style” fries which come with two slices of melted cheese.

A few lucky people took to social media to share the experience of eating In-N-Out in Dubai which, we assume, was downright delicious.

Sadly, it looks like that this is just a one-time thing, with the mall confirming in the comments that there are no plans to open a permanent outlet. Sigh, here’s hoping anyway…
