Snapped: Celebrities spotted in the UAE this week
Because let’s be honest, we all love a bit of celebrity goss…
Dubai is fast becoming the mini-break and stopover favourite for the world’s rich and famous.
With so many A-listers (and B, C and D-listers) visiting the glittering emirate every day, it can be hard to keep track of who was spotted where.
So in case you were wondering who to keep an eye out for at The Dubai Mall, we’ve put together a list of some of the famous faces spotted in Dubai and the UAE this week…
Carly Rae Jepsen
Pop princess Carly Rae Jepsen dazzled the crowds at Fiesta de los Muertos over the weekend, performing all of her earworm hits (we’ve had Call Me Maybe stuck in our head since 2012). It sure looks like the Canadian singer had a Good Time (geddit?) on her first Dubai visit – here she is ticking off the classic desert safari.
David Walliams
The English comedian/children’s book author will be gracing us with his presence for next year’s Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, but apparently he just can’t get enough of Dubai – he was spotted in the emirate this week enjoying a mini-break with his mum. Aww.
Kayla Itsines
She’s the special guest star at the Golden Mile Galleria Fitness Festival this weekend, where she’ll be working up a sweat with her famous Bikini Body Guide workouts. How’s that desert heat, Kayla? Feeling the burn?
Cassey Ho
Here we have another fitness star, Blogilates creator Cassey Ho, who led a Pop Pilates class at Kite Beach over the weekend. It wasn’t all workouts and no play, though – the influencer managed to find time for a sunrise photoshoot in the desert.
Yeng Constantino
One the city’s biggest Filipino music fests, One Music X Dubai, takes place at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre this weekend, with pop-rock star Yeng Constantino (who won the reality singing competition “Pinoy Dream Academy” in 2006) headlining. We love her snap of the world’s tallest building – don’t worry Yeng, we get the “Burj chin” too.
Katie Wright & Rio Ferdinand
She’s a reality TV star, he’s a football legend. What do they have in common? Apparently, a deep-rooted fear of rollercoasters, judging from this IMG Worlds of Adventure snap.
Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson
The Bollywood stars were in Dubai last weekend to promote their upcoming film, 2.0 – which will be India’s biggest-budget film to date. How did they get here? Well, they casually arrived in a helicopter, landing on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab. As you do.
