Here’s one more reason to stay in Dubai over National Day weekend…

Dubai Summer Surprises is behind us and we’ve got more than a month to wait for the-month-long Dubai Shopping Festival (which kicks off on December 26th).

But the great news for those of you that still haven’t done your festive shopping is that a new city-wide sale is being launched in Dubai, and it will happen in just a few week’s time.

The National Day Sale will run from December 1 to 3 across most of Dubai’s malls, and all shops participating in the sale will offer discounts of between 30 and 90 per cent on selected items in their stores (so not the whole lot).

Warning: malls get very busy over long weekends in the UAE, so if you’re keen to shop uninterrupted get to the stores by 10am.

The sale has been launched by Dubai Tourism and Dubai Festivals (so it’s official) and is part of the celebrations surrounding the UAE’s 45th National Day.

Which stores will be on sale? Well we don’t yet know, and shops keen to register for the sale have until November 29 to do so (so more and more shops will be added to the sale, we’ll keep you updated).

Ooh, and remember, for all-year-round sales you can check out Dubai Outlet Mall on Al Ain Road, or the brand new Dubai Outlet Village, which is right next to Dubai Parks & Resorts (although the latter is more focused on high end brands, so while you’ll bag a bargain, it won’t be a cheap day out).
