Chef Kunal Kapur has prepared a selection of pure vegetarian dishes to help diners observe the traditional fasting practices of Navratri (an annual Hindu festival observed in honour of the goddess Durga). Tuck into a number of dishes including sabudana vada with chutney, aloo ki kadhi, paneer tikka and more. The thali is all yours for Dhs99 per person.

With the weather now cool enough for us to wine and dine outdoors, Hutong has opened its enchanting terrace. It had a bit of a makeover over the summer and now has a distinctive Hutong-branded pergola with new cocktails to sip on. And of course, you’ll find plenty to dine on from the menu.

Learn the art of cake design with Little Venice Cake Company

Little Venice

Join a series of masterclasses led by Penelope for Dhs995 per person while indulging in the finest tea, coffee and champagne. You will learn to create either a six-inch raspberry and vanilla layer cake or a chocolate and salted caramel layered cake. Both require delicate piping techniques, moulding leaves and creating roses and more. Additionally, you can design bespoke floral cookies. Guests will walk away with a selection of treats as a gift. Classes take place every Tuesday. A minimum of two people will be required per booking.

Dine at a brand new smokehouse concept – Chef’s

Carnivores, there’s a new restaurant in town plating up some meaty dishes. At Chef’s, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, near Voco Hotel, you can indulge in juicy wagyu beef burgers paired with imaginative condiments, ribs and brisket, sandwiches and more. Soak in some art at Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

As an ode to international artist Pablo Picasso, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library (MBRL) is hosting a one-week event starting on October 25 packed with a number of activities. ‘Picasso Days’ will include an art exhibition with art inspired by Picasso created by artists in the Arab region and workshops by Maryam Al-Neyadi showcasing the art of abstract painting. The event is free but to attend, but you will need to register here
