It is worth noting that schools are allowed some flexibility with the calendar providing they complete the minimum number of school days (188 days for the Ministry of Education (MoE) curriculum and 182 days for international curriculum).

December 11 to January 2, 2024: Winter break
March 25 to April 15, 2024: Spring break
June 17 to 18, 2024: Eid Al Adha (tentative date)

When is the next public holiday in the UAE?
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has just confirmed that both the public and private sector will enjoy a three-day weekend for UAE National Day.
All employees will be off from Saturday, December 2 to Monday, December 4 and will return to work on Tuesday, December 5. The public sector will, however, also have a remote-working day on Friday, December 1.
Schools will also have a three-day weekend with distance learning on Friday December 1 and Monday, December 4, fully off.
After UAE National Day, that’s it for 2023. However, we don’t have to wait long for the first public holiday in 2024 as it falls on January 1, aka New Year’s Day. Lucky for us, January 1 is falling on a Monday which means it will be a three-day long weekend for most of us.
