Kick off the new week with an evening brunch
Moon Brunch is the name of a new night at the ever-popular Seven Sisters. Treat yourself to afternoon tea on an abra
There’s lots of ways to enjoy the beauty of Madinat Jumeirah’s winding waterways. Perfect for if you’ve got visitors in town, one of the best things to do in this part of town is a private abra tour with afternoon tea, where you’ll get a selection of savoury treats and sweet indulgences served as you drift around the Madinat Jumeirah. Get creative at the return of Alserkal Lates
Alserkal Lates takes place on Tuesday, September 27 and will see Alserkal Avenue coming alive with new exhibitions, art installations, art walks and more. It begins in the evening and runs until 10pm. Bridging the unexpected and unconventional with the authentic and simple, the evening features a powerful line-up of 12+ new art exhibitions, curator-led art walks, and public art commissions. The best news is that it’s free to enter, but you will need to register here.

Fiesta into the evening at Sushisamba
Sushisamba is one of the hottest restaurants in the city, but it’s turning up the heat with the relaunch of Casa de Samba this Tuesday. Taking place in the venue’s Samba Room, expect high-energy entertainment from French DJ duo Chambord, live sounds of Rodrigo Gallardo and unmissable views as you dine on chef Moon’s signature Japanese Peruvian fusion dishes.

Check out a cool bar takeover
Two of the World’s 50 Best Bars are taking over the bars at Papa Dubai this week for a mini cocktail festival. From September 28 to 30, catch the master mixologists from The Clumsies and Baba Au Rum bringing their creative libations to the nine bars at Papa Dubai from 5pm to 1am each evening. Diwali, also known as the ‘festival of lights’, will be celebrated for a whole month at Festival Plaza, and it kicks off this week. Decorated in bright hues and vibrant décor reflecting the festive vibe, a special Diwali market will be open to public from 12pm to 10pm every Thursday to Sunday. Running from September 29 to October 23, expect to shop an array of fashion, accessories, home decor and food items.

Bring your best detective skills to a murder mystery night
Back by popular demand, the new murder mystery nights at Home by McGettigan’s kick off this Thursday September 29. At Murder on McGettigan’s Island, the audience will have to solve the clues, interrogate the characters, and brace for an action-packed thrill ride with plenty of problem-solving and audience participation. The action is set at the headquarters of the McGettigan’s Island Independence Party, where the party’s leader, Lord William Socket, is campaigning for independence from Britain. As he prepares for his great speech, with the help of his wife and party members, the audience will be treated to an evening of intrigue, scheming plots, revenge, and rivalries, culminating in a sudden death. Audience members will also have the chance to interact with the characters and play their part in finding out who the criminal is before DCI Bill Roberts solves the case. The team that correctly identifies the murderer will win a brunch. Tickets are Dhs50 including a welcome drink.
