Stretch it out at a new Pilates studio

Tuesday February 8

Top up your tan at a pool party

So French! is the name of FIVE Palm Jumeirah’s new Tuesday pool party, bringing an urban soundtrack to the celeb-loved beachfront address. Taking place from noon every Tuesday from February 8, expect French pop and urban beats from a rotation of local and international DJs, which this week kicks off with DJ Alak Jackson. It’s Dhs300 for gents and Dhs200 for ladies, fully redeemable on food and drink.

Head to a desert pop-up

Hidden is the UAE’s newest off-the-grid desert pop-up cafe, oozing boho-vibes with rope deck chairs in crisp white surrounding cosy campfires, earthy woven bean bags and rattan sofas covered in plush cushions. The whole area is surrounded by palm trees, offering dappled shade to curl up with a coffee as the sun sets. The stunning star feature of this Instagrammable desert pop up is a mirrored installation that reflects the picturesque setting around you – a perfect photo op for all Hidden visitors. The perfect place for a piping hot brew, alongside an array of steaming coffees, you’ll find warming hot chocolates topped with swirls of cream and marshmallows on the menu. Handily, they’re already marked on Google Maps, so if you type “Hidden Cafe” into your search, you should be able to get there easily. There’s also a location pin on their Instagram feed, to ensure Hidden isn’t too hard to access.

See a soul star perform live

The new resident star at Q’s Bar and Lounge is Houston-born Tarion Taylor. Tarion’s musical palette has been tuned from gospel music to pop music, the young artist encompasses the talents of Michael Jackson to Frank Sinatra and so many in between. After almost two decades of crafting and building his own unique sound, Tarion has cultivated a style that blends the influence of many of the greats , and every time he graces a stage he finds a way to make it fresh, new, & special for everyone in the audience. He’s in residency until April 2, and a minimum spend of Dhs250 applies to shows during the week, and Dhs350 on weekends.

Check out a beautiful new bar

Run, don’t walk, to the new Bar Buci at Jumeirah Al Qasr and discover an elegant Parisian-inspired cocktail bar with a vintage jazz vibe. Kick off the weekend with a beach day
