It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for. The rules surrounding live entertainment, events, weddings, hotels, restaurants and concerts have eased in Dubai.

Additionally, brunches are back. Yes, the bonafide weekend pastime that we all know and love is resuming once again. Naturally, we bet you’ll be right back on that horse, so here are 12 amazing brunches to go to this weekend…

3BK

Secret Parties have a brand new brunch set to take place at chic fine dining restaurant 3BK. From Friday May 21, and every Friday thereafter between 1pm and 4.30pm, guests can enjoy unlimited drinks alongside a four course meal from within the world’s tallest building. The menu promises to be as lavish as its surroundings, with highlights including sushi platters, roasted leg of lamb, seafood linguine, vegan lasagne and sweets such as eclairs, profiteroles and the special 3BK Khalifa Sundae.

Bla Bla

Bla Bla is the hottest new place on JBR and its brunch will have you kicking things off early. Enter Brunch at Onda Nami, which runs from 1pm to 4pm. On the menu is dishes such as crispy rice avocado and california rolls to start, followed by Katsu Kare with chicken, Japanese curry and rice or Angus BBQ short rib with sweet potato fries, and red velvet delight for dessert. House beverages include beers, wines and spirits and two Bla Bla cocktails.

Discover the swinging jazz age of 1920s Osaka at Mimi Kakushi. Its new brunch runs every Friday from 12pm to 4pm, with incredible Japanese dishes such as black cod and prawn gyoza with a citrus miso sauce, crisp vegetable tempura, Kushi Angus beef and yakitori chicken thighs. A new brunch is launching in Dubai this weekend at the ultra chic Mina Brasserie in Four Season DIFC. Called Exquisite, the concept promises an elevated fine dining experience with dishes including seared foie gras and lobster pot pie.

Palm Bay

Palm Bay is one of the most popular bars and restaurants on the Club Vista Mare strip and for good reason. Brunch runs every Friday from 1pm to 4pm with sharing starters, a choice of mains (including catch of the day, slow roast leg of lamb, house special half jerk chicken, oven baked lentil & mushroom meat loaf), sharing desserts and free-flowing house beverages for a wallet-friendly Dhs295.

We all like to get more for our money and you’ll get just that at Foxglove’s long Friday brunch which runs from 12pm to 5pm. It promises a three-course meal, with a choice of British and European dishes on the menu, along with free-flowing drinks. Casual British-style pub The Tipsy Lion recently reopened its doors and it’s back with the ‘Great British Brunch’ this weekend. On the menu you’ll find classic British dishes such as fish and chips and butter chicken pie, as well as chicken tikka, plant-based sliders and desserts such as sticky toffee pudding. Live music will be provided by a resident DJ and some of the Boxtones. Free-flowing drinks include themed cocktails. Happy hour runs from 5pm to 8pm.
