6 cool things to do in Dubai this week: March 28 to 31

A handy guide to the best of the city…

This week we welcome a new set of fun things to do in Dubai. From a birthday celebration to a new focacceria, here are our top picks to keep you busy in Dubai this week.

Here are six things to do in Dubai.

Sunday March 28

1. Check out an awesome new eatery

If you’re in the mood for proper Italian food, look no further than casual diner La Fabbrica Italiana. The new eatery has opened on Wasl 51 and is already a big hit with the residents. Serving only three items, the ingredients are all imported from Italy and it shows in the flavour. The spot serves more than 12 varieties of focaccia with toppings from bresaola to truffle, smoked salmon, Nutella and much more. Other items on the menu include fresh buratta and traditional tiramisu.

2. Marea turns 2

It’s hard to believe that upmarket New York restaurant Marea opened its Dubai branch two years ago. The fancy spot is celebrating at its home in DIFC on March 28, and you’re all invited. Guests are welcome to book in for lunch or dinner, and there will be a complimentary glass of bubbles for every diner.

Check out all the best hiking trails here.

6. Head to Global Village

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Global Village this year, you still have time. Due to popular demand, Dubai’s multi-cultural attraction, Global Village, has announced it will be extending its current 25th season by two weeks. The popular park was due to close at the beginning of Ramadan but will now continue until May 2.
