Eid holidays announced for Dubai schools
School’s out…
Prepare for some happy little faces (from teachers and students) as the Eid Al Fitr holidays have been announced for Dubai schools, beginning on Sunday June 2 until Thursday June 6, declared by the The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
The good news is that there will be no school from Sunday Jun 2 to Thursday Jun 6 to celebrate #Eid.
The bad news is that …. wait, there’s no bad news. Have a great week! What are you planning to do? pic.twitter.com/58lE09XBqD— KHDA (@KHDA) May 27, 2019
Most schools are expected to reopen on Sunday, June 9. As there is a weekend before and after the Eid holidays, that’s nine whole days of fun to be had.

The days off for UAE schools mirror that of the UAE public sector, who will enjoy a week-long holiday on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. The public holiday for the UAE private sector will begin on Monday June 3, so it’s going to be an extra long weekend for everyone.
The official start date of Eid Al Fitr is still yet to be confirmed by the UAE Moon Sighting Committee, but it is likely to be Tuesday June 4, according to predictions from astronomers..
