Tarahum for Gaza: Drop off centres, what to donate, and where to volunteer in the UAE
Here’s how you can help Palestinians in Gaza right now…
The UAE launched a Tarahum for Gaza campaign to provide humanitarian relief packages to Palestinian families and children affected by the ongoing crisis. Here are all the places you can donate, volunteer, and do your bit in the UAE:
Emirates Red Crescent
Emirates Red Crescent has opened a number of donation sites across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah for members of the public to donate food, hygiene materials and health supplies towards the humanitarian relief packages.
Those in Abu Dhabi can drop off aid at the following Emirates Red Crescent sites: Emirates Red Crescent Headquarters; Carrefour, Airport Road; Marina Mall Caravan; Shahama, Baniyas Co-operative Society; Khalifa City (behind the shops); Baniyas City (next to Lulu Hypermarket); and Al Shawamekh (in front of Lulu Express).
In Dubai, collections can be made at Emirates Red Crescent Headquarters in Al Quoz; Umm Ramool, Al Garhoud; Carrefour, Mall of the Emirates; City Centre Al Shindagha; City Centre Meaisem; City Centre Mirdif; and Arabian Centre.
In Sharjah, the donation centres can be found at Nekheelat Authority Office; Sharjah Co-operative Society, Helwan; Sharjah Co-operative Society, Al Dhaid; and Lulu Hypermarket, Al Hazana.
There are also seven sites across Fujairah including the Emirates Red Crescent Headquarters; Al Bustan Hall; Masafi Council; Bidiyah Council; Hawaya Suburb, Khorfakkan; Suhaila Suburb, Kaiba; and Dibba Fujairah Co-operative Society for Fishermen.

Alserkal Avenue is also collecting donations between October 20 and 30, from 10am to 7pm daily. Taking place at Warehouse 1, the public can donate cash or towards the food, children’s, and women’s packages such as flour, tea bags, cans of tuna, canned chickpeas, oil, pasta, sugar, canned beans, rice, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, female sanitary pads, nappies, blankets, jackets, and tents. There are also a number of initiatives to support within the community where all proceeds will be donated to the Emirates Red Crescent including a yoga class at Shimis on Wednesday, October 25, the sale of all Palestine Forever disposable cameras at Gulf Photo Plus, and tote bags from The Grotto.
