Tania's Teahouse to open first licensed restaurant in Dubai
It’s not just a teahouse anymore…
In January this year, we shared the news that Tania’s Teahouse was closing the doors to its pretty pink cafe on Jumeirah Beach Road. No, it isn’t going away forever. In fact, it’s just going to undergo a ‘rebrand’, if you will, and shift to a brand new location.
In doing so, it is going to become bigger and better (if you can believe that) than before.
Here’s what What’s On knows so far…
Meet Tania’s
When the home-grown cafe opens in Dubai Hills in September, it will open as Tania’s.
For those of you who visited Tania’s Teahouse in Jumeirah, you’re most likely going to leave with plenty of memories of the ‘grammable venue, and the delicious tea flavours and bites. The OG spot received huge recognition both locally and internationally and even earned a spot as the 7th most Instagrammable cafe globally.
But Tania’s is going to be a bit different…
License to impress
A standout feature that will get Dubai buzzing is the fact that the all-new Tania’s will be licensed. That’s right, if picking from the vast number of teas and coffees had you scratching your head, you will now have alcoholic sip options to pick from on the menu.
We’ve been told to even expect refreshing tea options infused with house drinks, which is something Team What’s On is looking forward to trying.
Besides this brilliant upgrade, customers can also expect significant enhancements in the new venue from aesthetics to culinary offerings which will see diners enjoying a heightened in-house dining experience. Tania’s revamped menu will feature breakfast, lunch and dinner options, which means it will have its doors open throughout the day for diners.
Further upgrades include catering and three event spaces for all your event needs from baby showers to bachelorette parties, birthdays, family gatherings and more. You can also expect a number of community events from social meetings to wellness classes and so much more – giving you yet another reason to return (as if you needed it).
The multi-purpose venue is also an ideal spot to work out of the office – so you’ll know where to find us.
Speaking to What’s On, Tania’s founder, Tania Lodi stated, ‘We decided after five happy years in Jumeirah to re-locate to a larger space and we chose the vibrant neighbourhood Dubai Hills, where we’re excited to announce that we will be licensed to serve alcohol.’ Get ready for an array of insta-worthy, tea-infused cocktails and a host of puns to come with them.
Just as excited as we are? We don’t have an official opening date for Tania’s yet, but we do know it will be sometime in September. Stay tuned to whatson.ae as we will have the latest announcements for you when we know more.
Want your dose of Tania’s right now? While we await the big launch, you can currently head to Sereni-tea by Tania’s Teahouse nestled in Umm Sequeim. It may not be licensed, but Tania Lodi has tailored each branch in a unique way and so each has its own character and aesthetics while harmonizing with the flagship’s ethos.
