8 great things to do in Dubai this week: Nov 21 to 24

Football fever, Thanksgiving feasts, celebrity chefs and more…

It’s the middle of November and Dubai is thriving. Whether you’re hosting guests and looking for a fun pool day, checking out a new dinner and a show, or gathering at a brand new beachside restaurant, there’s something for everyone right here.

Here’s all the best things to do in Dubai this week.

Monday November 21

Head to a sandzone for the football action

Zero Gravity has said goodbye to a traditional fan zone and hello to a Sandzone, with guests able to watch the month of football with toes in their sand. The beach club has set up a massive screen on the beach, but it can also be seen from the glass-lined swimming pool, so you can catch the daytime matches while keeping cool in the pool. Entry starts from Dhs50, which includes two drinks, or there’s a Sandzone brunch package for Dhs250, which includes food and drink on a raised deck available from 15 minutes before the game until the final whistle.

Zero Gravity Sandzone, Al Sufouh, November 20 to December 18, from Dhs50. Tel: (0)4 399 0009, 0-gravity.ae

Check out a returning desert pop-up

For its third edition, Not A Space returns to the Al Faya desert, inviting guests to enjoy drinks, snacks, live music and workshops, all in the breathtaking setting of the Sharjah desert. You can find the exact location of Not A Space Al Faya here, and by car it will take you around an hour to drive from Dubai. Just like last season’s singularly cool, made-for-Insta hangout spot, Al Faya 3.0 is a pet friendly desert pop-up filled with cosy nooks surrounding the central coffee counter. Perch up on a bean bag, recline on a deck chair or grab a bar stool and keep warm with a freshly brewed coffee or piping cup of hot chocolate. You can also shop some cool Not A Space merch, and snap selfies at the mirrored wall.
