UAE petrol prices are hiking up again in April
Diesel is set to go above Dhs4 per litre for the first time…
If you drive a vehicle in the UAE, take note: petrol and diesel prices are hiking up again this April to a record high. This is the third increase this year, after March also saw a sharp increase in the price of petrol and diesel.
From April 1, fuel prices for Super 98 will be Dhs3.74 per litre, up from Dhs3.23 per litre in March. Additionally, Special 95 will be priced at Dhs3.62 per litre, up from Dhs3.12 per litre in March. Diesel will be priced at Dhs4.02 per litre, up from Dhs3.19 in March.

The UAE’s Ministry of Energy first began setting fuel prices based on average global prices in August 2015. Prior to that, the price of petrol in the UAE was subsidised by the government, which shielded consumers from global fluctuations in the cost of petrol.
