American franchise Ripley’s Believe It or Not! is a museum you can find all over the world and now it’s open in Dubai at Global Village.

If you haven’t heard of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! – it is an American franchise founded by Robert Ripley, and it showcases items and events that aim to shock and astound its visitors – hence the name ‘Believe It or Not!’

Aptly named Odditorium, there will be six galleries displaying a diverse collection of over 150 unbelievable artefacts. From art made from unusual materials, animal oddities, and even stories from real people and places that are hard to believe.

The six galleries are Robert Ripley’s Tribal/Jungle, Human Oddities, Ripley’s Warehouse, Ripley’s American & Arabian, Magical Studio and WOW Space Gallery.

On display you can find micro-miniature sculptures invisible to the naked eye, a sculpture of the tallest man to ever live, a collection of enormous dinosaur skeletons, a full skeleton of a Komodo dragon, as well as the world’s only fully-wooden Ferrari, which operates not only on the ground, but on water as well. Wow!

For lovers of space, you can find artefacts that have been flown in outer-space and even meteorites from Mars. One item you don’t want to miss out on is the actual kandora that UAE astronaut, Hazzaa Al Mansoori, wore when he visited the International Space Station. You can also find the astronaut’s space patches and Emirati food containers taken on the mission on display.

There will also be interactive experiences as well for a more hands-on experience like Ripley’s Marvellous Mirror Maze featuring 100 mirrors, LED lights and sounds, set to deter you from escaping the labyrinth. Not dizzy enough? Check out the Vortex tunnel.

There’s also a store where you can pick up some merchandise and for the sweet tooth, there’s Ripley’s Candy Factory filled with sweets.

It will cost you Dhs25 to visit the Mirror Maze and Dhs40 for the Odditorium but you can purchase a combo tickets and visit both for Dhs50.
