Dubai has been named as the second-best city in the world for driving, according to a recent survey.
The 2019 Cities Index study was conducted by Mister Auto on 100 countries across the globe on their overall quality of driving. Factors taken into account were infrastructure (things like congestion, air and road quality), safety (road rage) and cost of driving (petrol and annual road tax).
Dubai scored a commendable 97.87 out of a total of 100, scoring highest on road quality, low petrol prices and low annual road tax by affordability, coming only second to Calgary, Canada who scored 100 overall.
Other areas Dubai scored particularly well in were road rage – where the lower the score on the survey grid means the fewer the incidents reported, as well as overall city speed and cost of parking by affordability.
