Dry night in Dubai for Islamic New Year takes place tonight
No alcohol to be served from 6pm tonight (Monday) to 7pm on Tuesday.
We already know we’re getting a long weekend for Islamic New Year, or Hijri – and now we know when the dry night will be.
No alcohol will be served in Dubai from 6pm on Monday, September 10 until 7pm on Tuesday, September 11, The National reports.
This applies to all outlets, including hotels.

It is unclear whether the same dry period will apply to Abu Dhabi, as the announcement has only come from Dubai Tourism.
Both the public and private sectors will enjoy a day off on Thursday, September 13 to celebrate the holiday, which marks Prophet Mohammed’s journey from Makkah to Madinah.
