Samsung is giving you the chance to nab the new Galaxy Note9 before its official launch…

Samsung announced the arrival of its new Galaxy Note9 smartphone in Dubai earlier today and as a way to give back to its fans has put together a rather fun treasure hunt to give residents in Dubai the chance to win one before its official release date later this month.

Between Thursday, August 16 and Saturday, August 18 Samsung will be giving away nine Galaxy Note9 handsets every hour for nine hours every day. That’s a whopping 27 phones up for grabs each day!

All you have to do is head down to one of the participating malls (that’s Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre) before Sunday and register your details at the Samsung stand there. You’ll then need to solve five tricky riddles and if successful, you’ll nab yourself a brand new smartphone. Not bad.

If you’re not one of the lucky nine that particular hour, you also stand the chance to win a Dhs150 voucher to the Samsung online store and will be entered into a raffle to win a phone at the end of the day, so there’s still a chance. You can also download the Note9 Quest app on your current smartphone to book another time slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 is the Korean tech giant’s latest ‘phablet’ smartphone. It rocks a positively massive 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen, all-day battery life and an intelligent camera that uses scene recognition to help you snap better photos. The phone also comes with an S-Pen stylus that sets it apart from competitors like the iPhone, allowing users to take notes on the phone in free hand and now, thanks to a Bluetooth upgrade, use it as a remote control for snapping photos or clicking through presentations.

It will be available in the UAE starting August 30 in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple and Ocean Blue from Dhs3,699.
