Virgin Atlantic announces plans to stop flights between Dubai and London
Daily flights between the two cities will cease on March 31, 2019…
Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will be withdrawing its flights between Dubai and London Heathrow effectve 31 March 2019.
In an official statement released to the press, the UK-based airline cites a “combination of external factors” that ultimately lead the route to no longer being economically viable.

“It’s never an easy decision to withdraw a route, and we’d like to thank our customers and dedicated team in Dubai for their loyalty over the last 12 years.” said Shai Weiss, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic.
Flying between Dubai and the UK capital for the past 12 years, the Richard Branson-founded carrier currently operates daily flights to and from Dubai International airport, and will continue to do so until its final flight next March.
