The city’s first ‘Quran Park’ will be free to enter and offer a chance to learn about Islamic heritage

Dubai Municipality has revealed that the Quran Park currently under construction in Al Khawaneej, will be free of charge for all visitors when it opens.

The 64-hectare plot of land will be transformed into a lush green space, filled with plants and miracles referenced in the Qur’an.

It will be made up of 12 seperate gardens and will feature a Cave of Miracles, and a Glass House with plants mentioned in the Holy Book.

As well as the glass house and cave, there will be plenty of modern features, including solar trees, on-site wifi, and phone-charging stations.

“Setting up of this park is a great achievement for the city of Dubai in the field of landscaping and will be one of the most prominent, unique and distinctive landmark hosted by Dubai emirate.” said Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality.

The park is designed to give a better cultural and educational understanding of Islamic heritage, while still being a fun place to visit for children, families and those looking to learn more about the Qur’an.

A firm opening date has yet to be announced, but we can’t wait to head inside and have a look.
