Fans of Bollywood, musicals, and the legendary A.R. Rahman are in for a real treat. A Bollywood musical spectacular called Taj Express is coming to Dubai Opera in October.

The musical is inspired by the world-famous Indian film industry, following a budding composer as he struggles with creating his first Bollywood score, only to find that each of the numbers he composes materialise before his eyes.

The musical features some massive Bollywood hits, including songs from A.R. Rahman, the man behind some of the best movie soundtracks ever composed, including Slumdog Millionaire (yes, Jai Ho will be stuck in our heads for the rest of the day, too).

Expect high energy dance moves, fancy footwork, and plenty of sparkly costumes during the dynamic production, which will take the Dubai Opera stage from October 16 to 20.

Tickets start from Dhs200, and go on sale at 9am on March 19, with an early-bird discount of 20 per cent on all seating categories until April 2.
