Sponsored: The sought-after Chino Latino spot is a must-try for Dubai foodies…

It made waves on the Abu Dhabi dining scene when it first opened in 2013, and now Asia De Cuba has finally landed in Dubai.

The Chino Latino restaurant, which also has locations in New York and London, has just opened in The Westin Mina Seyahi, and it’s well worth a visit.

Like the signature style that graces the design and interiors of other Asia De Cuba restaurants, the Dubai restaurant and lounge features layered poster wallpapers in a rainbow of colours, funky furnishings and quirky touches.

In the cooler months, guests can look forward to dining al fresco on Asia De Cuba’s yet-to-open terrace, which will be home to a range of bohemian hanging plants and South American-inspired seating. Which is where you’ll find us enjoying a pre-dinner drink next season…

The menu at Asia de Cuba, created by Cuban-born executive chef Luis Pous, is a fusion of Latin and Asian cuisines. Guests can expect to tuck into theatrically served cuisine at intimate tables for two, cushy booths or communal dining tables by the bar, which are perfect for bigger celebrations.

Highlights on the menu of the sharing concept spot including Beetpica Tartare, a beet tartare served in crispy wontons with toasted coconut and avocado, a half or whole roast duck ‘Barrio Chino’ style, and the must-try Short Rib Vaca Frita.

Make your way through that, and then head on upstairs to the lively lounge, which serves up inventive cocktails, reggae beats and live music several times a week.

We’ll meet you there…
