What a treat this would be…

The first day back at school after summer holidays can often be a nervous one. But for these lucky children, there was an extra special visitor on hand to help them settle back in.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, stopped by a few elementary schools this morning to meet with children on their first day back at school.

Videos and pictures posted by Dubai Media Office show Dubai’s ruler taking a look around some of the classrooms and stopping to chat with the students about their work.

During his tour of several ministry of education schools, Sheikh Mohammed paid a visit to schools including Jumeirah Model Girls School and Al Maktoum Boys’ School for Basic Education.

The ruler of Dubai was visiting the schools to look at the ongoing facilities & operations, but also made time to chat to teachers and students, at one point admiring a custom made hat one lucky pupil was wearing.

We reckon everyone was on their best behaviour!
