Remember, you won't have to pay for parking in Dubai next Sunday...
You may have to go to work on Sunday, but at least you won’t have to pay for parking while there…
This weekend marks Eid Al Adha, which means a three-day weekend for those in the private sector, and a four-day weekend for people working in the public sector.
As always, public parking will be free over this period, and we’ve just had confirmation from the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) that parking will be free from 10pm on Wednesday August 30 until 8am on Monday September 4.
So yes, if you’re heading to work on Sunday September 3, head in a bit early and nab a free RTA park so that you needn’t bother with paying anything for the day.
Note: All RTA street parking will be free on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but multi-storey parking lots will be business as usual and you’ll have to continue to pay to park in those areas.

Remember, there will also be a dry night in Dubai next week, beginning from sunset on Wednesday August 30 until sunset on Thursday August 31. So the dry night is actually a dry 24 hours.
Many of you will be very familiar with this concept, however some of you who are newer to Dubai might not.
So, here’s an explainer: during a dry day, no alcohol is served across Dubai and the UAE. This applies to all outlets, including hotels (although not airports). And although we can’t confirm a set time right now, typically this will mean you won’t be served alcoholic drinks on Thursday August 31 until after 7pm.
