And it’s kicking things off with UK funnyman Aurie Styla

They say that laughter is the best medicine, and we’re inclined to agree, especially for a scorching Dubai summer.

Stand Up Dubai is a brand new comedy night set to debut on Saturday 5 August at Tribeca Bar and Kitchen at JBR Walk.

Scheduled to take place on the first Saturday of every month until the end of the year, organisers Those Guys Events and Entertainment, promise to bring a host of “the most current, freshest, cheekiest comedy talent from across the globe”, kicking things off with rising UK funnyman Aurie Styla.

The London native has been blazing a trail across the UK stand-up scene since 2010, selling out his first live UK stand-up special tour in 2016  “Working… Hardly!”.

Here’s a little taste of what to expect from Styla’s energetic and charismatic performance:


Aside from the comedy, resident DJs will wrap up the night playing a cool mix of Funk, Soul and RnB.

Doors open at 7pm with an Dhs80 cover charge that includes one drink. Seats are on a first-come-first-serve basis, so visit the official event website to reserve your spot.
