The pair shared a princely moment at the world-famous horse racing event…

Horse racing season in the UK is in full, erm, gallop, and for Dubai’s royals, it’s a good chance to catch up with some of their British counterparts.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his family are currently in England for Royal Ascot, supporting the official Godolphin team.

The event is already off to a pretty good start for Dubai’s ruler, who celebrated a treble on the first day of racing.

HH Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, was on hand to accept a trophy presented by Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Sheikh Mohammed & Sheikh Hamdan catch up with the Queen

Remember, the Al Maktoums recently caught up with Prince Charles’ mum – Queen Elizabeth II – at both the Epsom Derby and the Royal Endurance Race.

Who else was in attendance this time? HRH Princess Haya, looking lovely in lace, as well as her and Sheikh Mohammed’s daughter, Sheikha Al Jalila.

The nine-year-old seemed to be engrossed in the racing action, receiving a celebratory hug from her dad as their horse stormed to victory.

Here’s the Sheikha accepting the trophy, with proud mum HRH Princess Haya looking on:
