Snapped: Celebrities spotted in the UAE this week
Because let’s be honest, we all love a bit of celebrity goss…
Dubai is fast becoming the mini-break and stopover favourite for the world’s rich and famous.
With so many A-listers (and B-, C- and D-listers) visiting the glittering emirate every day, we bring you a weekly round up of who was spotted where.
You know, just in case you were wondering who to keep an eye out for when you’re down at Dubai Mall…
Justin Bieber
The Biebs shocked us all by making it to his eagerly-anticipated gig in Dubai right on time – possibly because he had so much other stuff he wanted to do. The popstar visited Zero Gravity not once, not twice, but three times, quenching his thirst atop an inflatable swan. He also embraced his Canadian roots by playing some ice hockey in The Dubai Mall, before heading out to the desert for a classic camel ride (and treating himself to some more hydration).
Shah Rukh Khan
The Bollywood megastar was back in town this week to shoot the follow-up to Dubai Tourism’s massively popular #BeMyGuest video. In between his official filming duties, SRK found time to hit up the aquarium at The Dubai Mall, and pay a heart-warming visit to the Al Jalila Children’s Hospital. What a legend.

Salman Khan
Another huge Bollywood star (and nope, believe it or not, no relation of Shah Rukh) hit our shores this week to begin shooting a new spy thriller, Tiger Zinda Hai, with director Ali Abbas Zafar revealing photos of the Abu Dhabi set on Twitter. Dubai fans, pay heed: the heartthrob is coming our way on May 16 for a meet and greet at Arabian Center.

Stephanie McMahon
The American businesswoman and WWE personality was in Dubai to appear at a Women in Leadership panel and help launch the new Arabic show WWE Wal3ooha. Here she is outside Dubai Opera, where tryouts took place to find the next big WWE star.
Lilly Singh
The YouTube superstar, also known as IISuperwomanII, was in Dubai this week to promote her new book, How to be a Bawse. The entertainer took to the desert on a quad bike, before striking a dramatic pose with a red-and-white shemagh that seems to be the must-have accessory among all celebs visiting the UAE (remember Zac Efron’s outfit?).
Baby Groot
To mark the release of the latest Guardians of the Galaxy film in the UAE, the humanoid tree with an extremely limited vocabulary (voiced by Vin Diesel), paid a visit to Dubai. Here’s the wooden superhero standing strong and proud before the mighty Burj Al Arab.
