Yes, a Trump Golf Club in Dubai is happening: Here's what it looks like
The Donald Trump-branded golf course will be open for play in Dubai in a matter of months…
With the swathes of green grass in Dubailand ready to play, it looks like the UAE’s Trump International Golf Club is actually happening, despite many high profile UAE businessmen speaking out against Donald Trump after his comments against Muslims.
Pictures and an analysis of the 18-hole golf course have been published on GolfDigestME.com, with the golfing website announcing that the Donald Trump-branded course will open in just a few months time (it’s technically been playable for almost a year). It’s the first 18-hole golf course to open in Dubai since 2010.
Will it be a Presidential golf course when it opens? Who knows…
Where is it? You’ll find it in the Akoya by Damac development which is off of Al Qudra Road just past Dubai Sports City. Apart from the golf course there will also be an Italian dining spot, an all-day restaurant, a sports bar and a shisha spot among other things (we’ll keep you updated on those).
Golf Digest ME says the short par 3 17th hole will be one of the highlights of the course:
The golfing website says that the ground will have “rumpled fairways, swathes of native grasses, generous open spaces and flowing teeing grounds”.
Remember, there are many Trump golf courses around the world already, including the Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen.
