What’s On has details about the new Halloween themed Neorun, a 5k neon fun run, to be hosted at Zayed Sports City on Thursday October 29. 

Zayed Sports City will be glowing on  October 29 – literally – as the very first five kilometre Neorun takes place here in the capital.

The fun run, which first debuted in Dubai in April and saw over 4,000 runners take part, will have a special Halloween theme for the season. Runners will race down a “spooky pathway” and be splashed with neon paint throughout the course.

After racing through the perils that await, racers will be able to celebrate crossing the finish line by taking part in a psychedelic and colourful ‘Engima Party’, complete with DJs.

“With the latest edition to Neorun, our goal is to bring much more fun than the traditional 5K run,” said Pach Ang, founder and creator of Neorun. “We are adding the creeps of Halloween into a neotastic glo-ing night run, for the healthiest way of having fun this Halloween. The run will become entertainment in itself.”

Barry Bremner, general manager, Zayed Sports City added, “ We are thrilled to be hosting such a unique event that brings together the spookiness of Halloween, fluorescent colours and a healthy lifestyle. Bringing this event to the Abu Dhabi community is really exciting.”
