One of the most visible rappers to emerge from LA in recent years, Kid Ink returns to the region for two shows.

Since releasing his debut mixtape World Tour, the producer turned MC has worked with Chris Brown, Dolla $ign, Bow Wow, Funkmaster Flex and A$AP Ferg amongst others. His debut album Up & Away peaked at No.3 in the US R&B charts and MTV International chose him as their PUSH campaign artist for 2014.

His second studio album, My Own Lane, was released in January and has spawned the hits Show Me, Iz U Down and Main Chick. At the album’s release party he was rewarded his first Gold plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America for Show Me.

He hits the UAE for two shows for People by Crystal, starting in the club’s new Abu Dhabi venue on Thursday before heading to Dubai on Friday.

Like his name suggests, the rapper, born Brian Collins, has dozens of tattoos on his face, arms, hands and torso. He got his first tattoo when he was 16 and has been addicted to getting them since then. His favourites reportedly include portraits of his mother and grandfather tattooed on
his chest and a tiger inked on the front of his neck, which represents his Chinese symbol.
